Chris has devoted more than twenty years to finely tuning a process to produce meaningful change for children and adolescents with behavior and learning challenges. Her efforts significantly change lives and enrich families of children with special needs. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst motivated to provide families with a unique array of consulting services that are designed to empower parents.  Her years of experience with a wide variety of behavior and learning challenges enable her to customize programs based on children’s specific needs.

Professional History

  • Upon completing undergraduate studies at Lehigh University earning a BA in psychology, in 1998 Chris entered the field of child literacy working with SMART (Start Making A Reader Today) a Portland affiliate of AmeriCorp/VISTA. Subsequently, she accepted a position as program manager for western states with the parent organization Reading is Fundamental in Washington D.C.

  • In 2000, after earning a Masters Degree in Applied Psychology from New York University with a focus in the Psychological Foundations of Reading and Learning Disabilities, Chris served as a teaching specialist at the Churchill School in New York City. Upon returning to Portland in 2001, she completed a one year assignment with the Catlin Gabel School in the capacity of learning specialist.

  • In 2002, Chris founded Core Concepts, a private practice specializing in learning disabilities for children aged four through high school. Over time, the practice broadened to include a wide range of behavior change interventions

  • After becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Chris founded Precision Parenting
